Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Players pick up their fire arms and get ready to blast some baddies once more in this fourth installment of the best selling game series of all time. However, if your looking to go chasing after Hitler and Nazi soldiers as in previous CoD games, you may be confused. In the first non world war II Call of Duty, you are dropped into the combat boots of modern day SAS operatives and U.S. Marines.
Story: You play as a total of five different characters, though three of them you play as for only one mission each. They are; Sgt. Paul Jackson, USMC, and Sgt. "Soap" Mactaverish, SAS. The three characters you play as briefly; An unnamed AC-130 gunner, In a flashback, you play as Captain Price, who is normally Soap's squad leader, and you play very briefly as the president of a middle eastern country as you are dragged out and shot by terrorists. The situation is a fictional, but very plausible, scenario in which Russian ultra-nationalists, waging a civil war in Russia, finance a Coup in the middle east to draw attention away from themselves. The United States then proceeds to invade said middle eastern country, and quickly advances. During this time period, you cut between playing as Sgt. Jackson in the Mid-East, and Soap as he runs commando operations in Russia. During the Commando Ops, you will be hunting for the main evil dudes; Al-Asad, Zachiev, and Zachiev's son.
Violence: Call of Duty is a first person shooter, so it is rather violent. You shoot realistic humans with all manor of high powered weaponry. However, blood and bodies do not linger long on the battlefield. There is blood, but not in excess.
Language: A**, D***, H*** and rarely S*** are all used, though not very commonly. There isn't actually that much though, compared to other games.
Multi player: The multi player system is well done, with more than 12 maps, dozens of weapons, and three "kill streaks" awarded to a player getting certain amounts of kills in a row. Weapons are customizable, choose from different sights, attachments and perks to use. additional weapons are unlocked as you rank up. multiplayer is for up to 18 players.
Systems: PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, DS.
All in all, I give it 4 stars
ESRB rating: Mature. Blood and Gore, Intense violence, Strong language.
Reviewed using Xbox 360.

wwhat is this... (Super Smash Bros. Brawl Review)
... i dont evven. 38(
You shouldn't get my joke AT ALL, but that's okay. Just google MSPA.
Hey Internet, I just thought I'd be nice for making my bro PH wait for so long for me to get my lazy self to this blog. So I'll lay down a DOUBLE HEADER. *doubleheads*
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008) Review:
Story: Story time, children.
The story for this game is, honestly, all over the place. You start with Kirby and Mario (yes, the basics, Nintendo has seen the light!) dueling. After the duel the HALBERD from Kirby appears sprinkling evil fairy dust across the stadium. Random things called Drones pop up and start being worthless opponents THIS INSTANT. You beat them up, and go on a 3-hour-long journey to catch this dude called the Ancient Minister. By the time this dude is caught, he's set up Subspace bombs like some kind of terrorist imam and you've gathered a band of characters from Nintendo games to fight him! He actually turns out to have a HEART and reveals himself to be R.O.B!
The rest of the story centers on Tabuu, a Navi from Avatar that got lost on the way to the set, equipped with butterfly wings and radical time-space powers. Though he's freaky, and the rest of the story's ending is miraculous, I must stop there to keep from revealing plot secrets as I am bound to in my e-mail-format contract. So yeah. BUT THE GOOD GUYS WIN!
Still, the story is confusing yet entertaining. It skips around a lot, but there's a reunion of the characters, good and bad, to unite against a common enemy. Quite cartoonishly touching, it has the potential to be a big story. Nintendo characters just can't live up to Master Chief, that's all.
Multiplayer: Okay, I'm no expert on any sort of multiplayer, but it is apparently very good. Just fun, simple brawling between users in an orderly yet chaotic fashion. That's online, but on the simple multiplayer mode, you can battle up to four people on over 30 stages, plus stages you can create. Brings back stages from Melee, and a lot of new content.
It's all pretty basic, nothing fancy. Basically the campaign characters confined to FFA-style battling. Simple enough? You can also play with or without (awesome) items, with or without lives, and with or without time limit. It's all up to you, the way I like my gaming.
Violence: All cartoon. Punches and kicks exchanged, still rated T for the amount of violence. They call it BRAWL for a reason, but don't get your knickers in a twist.
Language: None. SINCE WHEN DO NINTENDO CHARACTERS FORM INTELLIGABLE STATEMENTS? Snake can only say "Showtime!" Pit says annoying phrases, Kirby yips, Yoshi yaps, Link grunts, Mario "Wahoo"s, Bowser roars, Ganondorf wrenches. Seriously, NOTHING.
Overall Rating: The story can't stand alone, the multiplayer is fun and free-form, and the rest is history. Nothing negative with language, and the violence is in good fun. Who can hate on that adorable pink puffball? 4 and a half stars.

Heck, it's about time (MoH Review)
... to get this show on the ROAD. B)
Hey there Internet, the name's RB, and here I give to you my second game review EVER. (No, I didn't win a Pulitzer for my Super Mario Galaxy 2 review) ;)
Medal of Honor (2010) for PC Review:
Story: To start my review, I want to start with the storyline. First of all, most FPS players play for multiplayer, not storyline. But this game's story is pretty well-crafted. It's realistic and truly intriguing.
You play as many different characters throughout the span of the game, such as a helicopter pilot and a SEAL. The separate strands of story are all linked together, however, as it revolves around Rabbit, a Ranger belonging to the Neptune squad. This is an elite group of soldiers trained to infiltrate the Taliban during the War in Afghanistan, and the story does not disappoint. You play through thick and thin, atop ATVs, surrounded by foes, and ultimately to the death. (Sorry, spoiler there)
The campaign isn't to difficult, as I beat it in two days of on/off play. You will still, guaranteed, enjoy the campaign and have challenging fun.
Multiplayer: I, unfortunately, have no multiplayer ability. My screen screws up and I can only see my death animation. Really dissappointing.
I still have seen extensive coverage of multiplayer. It is, from what I gather, a lot like CoD. You can initiate calldowns, have kill streaks, and customize your weapon (more or less). It lacks no thrills for those into all out battles. There are over 5 maps to choose from, and each one is large, so you have a real sandbox opportunity. Snipers are abundant, however, and campers reign. So be careful on maps with caves or tunnels. Yikes.
Violence: Hate to break it to you, but this is an FPS. Rated M for Blood and Violence. Decapitation, slitting of throat, and blood lingering in pools = Play responsibly.
Language: Did I mention M for Strong Language? F word said at least thrice in final mission, s word said when ally get hit by grenade, lots of d words... You do the math.
Overall Rating: Those veterans of previous MoH and CoD/Battlefield will know the FPS experience. Great game, good graphics, but the language is extensive. Violence expected (pointing to MW2, folks). 4 stars.
-----------
That's about all there is to it. Hope this is satisfactory, and let's keep this ball rollin'! Expect more reviews~

Supreme commander 2
Supreme commander 2 is a strategy game that stands out among other RTS games today. This doesn't mean that as many people play it, as say, Starcraft 2, but it means it has game play that is exceptional. Supreme commander 2 has 35 maps (including maps that come with the Downloadable content), all unique, with memorable experiences. One map is a giant satellite suspended in space, another offers a giant steaming hole that dominates the center, while yet another is a map in which a huge chasm separates the two teams, and they must use gunships and transport planes to destroy each other. The game boasts three unique factions, with unique personalities, and each faction boasts more than 30 units, not counting structures. As for factional differences, will you choose the futuristic insect like bots of the Cybrans, and rely on speed and stealth to guide you, the smooth Illuminate, and use advanced abilities given by the alien race the seriphem, or the traditional United Earth Federation, and create a superior air force with gunships capable of tearing ground units apart?
The game is also centered around a tech tree, were you may use research points to unlock abilities and new units. This is how the player gets access to some of the memorable game moments, such as upgrading the Cybran navy to sprout legs, personal shields on your units, and of course massive experimental units that are worth dozens of regular units. Research points are earned by killing enemy units, and through research stations. The Cybrans also have access to the "Proto brain complex" which quickly earns research points. The resources of the game consist of mass and energy, which are gained by producing mass extractors on mass deposits, while energy can be gained by making energy generators, which can be placed anywhere.
Bases also have a part to play, structures built by your commander (which is your starting unit) can make new units and do fighting of their own; The UEF has access to a massive unit launcher that can launch basic combat units to most places on the map, and both the UEF and Cybrans can make huge artillery stations that can hurl shells over the map. All factions have access to a Nuclear missile launcher, and an anti nuke silo.
Language is non existent: it is limited to "darn" "heck" and they don't even miss use God's name. Violence is limited to machines killing machines. The only Humans on the battle field are piloting giant ACUs that explode bloodlessly when killed. This means the maximum amount of human deaths per game is 8, and minimum is one. (the number is determined by number of players in game.) other than that though, we never actually see any blood. In one mission, an evil character Nukes a city inhabited by civilians, but again, no people are ever seen, just a distant nuclear flash and an ominous "What have you done?!"
Unfortunately, for all its great game play, supcom2 has a shallow story, spanning 3 chapters and 18 missions. But really, this game was meant for multi player, not story mode. All in all, I give Supcom2 a four and a half star rating.

A console review: XBOX 360
BEHOLD THE XBOX. This console can be picked for the reasonable price of $200. Also, it is probably the most popular game console currently on the market. Xbox 360 is a modern console, and the greater majority of new games can be found on it. Also, The popular Halo franchise is only available on Xbox. Some doubt the life of the Xbox, as it was released 5 years ago, but if you are thinking of waiting for a new console to come out, then you might be waiting for a while longer. The Xbox 360 will not be replaced until 2015, says Microsoft. The Xbox 360 can also play certain original Xbox games; see Xbox.com for details. The Xbox also has a "family timer" this timer can be set by a parent, limiting the amount of time the Xbox can be played daily or weekly. Xbox LIVE is also a great service, with the Gold addition, you can watch ESPN and get movies from netflix, so long as you have internet. The one downside to the Xbox is the cost of Xbox LIVE, as it does require money to use. However, Xbox LIVE costs only $54 dollars a year, for the Gold edition, so it isn't to bad. More recently, Xbox kinect has allowed gamers to get active while playing, as you can, with certain games, use the kinect add on the control your player with motions from your own body. All in all, I give the Xbox 360 5 stars. I highly recommend the Xbox to anyone in the market for game consoles.
