... to get this show on the ROAD. B)
Hey there Internet, the name's RB, and here I give to you my second game review EVER. (No, I didn't win a Pulitzer for my Super Mario Galaxy 2 review) ;)
Medal of Honor (2010) for PC Review:
Story: To start my review, I want to start with the storyline. First of all, most FPS players play for multiplayer, not storyline. But this game's story is pretty well-crafted. It's realistic and truly intriguing.
You play as many different characters throughout the span of the game, such as a helicopter pilot and a SEAL. The separate strands of story are all linked together, however, as it revolves around Rabbit, a Ranger belonging to the Neptune squad. This is an elite group of soldiers trained to infiltrate the Taliban during the War in Afghanistan, and the story does not disappoint. You play through thick and thin, atop ATVs, surrounded by foes, and ultimately to the death. (Sorry, spoiler there)
The campaign isn't to difficult, as I beat it in two days of on/off play. You will still, guaranteed, enjoy the campaign and have challenging fun.
Multiplayer: I, unfortunately, have no multiplayer ability. My screen screws up and I can only see my death animation. Really dissappointing.
I still have seen extensive coverage of multiplayer. It is, from what I gather, a lot like CoD. You can initiate calldowns, have kill streaks, and customize your weapon (more or less). It lacks no thrills for those into all out battles. There are over 5 maps to choose from, and each one is large, so you have a real sandbox opportunity. Snipers are abundant, however, and campers reign. So be careful on maps with caves or tunnels. Yikes.
Violence: Hate to break it to you, but this is an FPS. Rated M for Blood and Violence. Decapitation, slitting of throat, and blood lingering in pools = Play responsibly.
Language: Did I mention M for Strong Language? F word said at least thrice in final mission, s word said when ally get hit by grenade, lots of d words... You do the math.
Overall Rating: Those veterans of previous MoH and CoD/Battlefield will know the FPS experience. Great game, good graphics, but the language is extensive. Violence expected (pointing to MW2, folks). 4 stars.
-----------
That's about all there is to it. Hope this is satisfactory, and let's keep this ball rollin'! Expect more reviews~
